Accomplishment achieved

Done. I’ve finished the summer. Well not officially, I’ve just finished school. So no more Spanish classes! That’s 12 semester hours of Spanish done.  Let me tell you, it was a rough one. Learned a lot, but I’m in need of a break.

I’m not the only one that is in need of a break though, everyone needs one at  some point. Jesus was very found of breaks, times to contemplate the mysteries of what he was doing, a time to unravel everything that had been bound up in him and his disciples. Right before he was taken to be judged by the Sanhedrin, where was he? In contemplative prayer on the Mount of Olives. Taking a break.

This is important for all of us, we should all take a hint, myself especially because I’m so found going 100 mph all the time. Maybe some of you are starting new chapters in your life, maybe some are closing chapters, others of you are getting ready for a new school year, maybe some of you are workaholics and your body needs a rest day.

Whatever it is, let’s not forget that we need time to ourselves. A time to decompress and sort through life. It’s never good to keep things bottled up, if you’ve got beef with someone; sit them down and make a hamburger out of it. Maybe you’ve got this great idea for a house and  your mom just won’t listen to you….. tell her about it. Or maybe you don’t know where to start because you’re so backed up with stuff.

Silence is a very powerful tool, it’ll lead you to think about the things that you need dealt with. Try it sometime. in the meantime, I’ve gotta back my room up and get some sleep.

Stay Divine,

  1. WOW! Finished 12 hours of Spanish, huh? I suppose you can carry on a conversation in Espanol now, huh? Enjoy the next few weeks as you prepare to return to God’s country! Take care, Blessings, and keep smiling!
